Vision

To emerge as a Centre of excellence in Electronics and Communication Engineering by nurturing skilled professionals through innovative teaching and research, contributing to industry and societal needs with a strong focus on ethics, sustainability, and environmental consciousness.

Mission

  • Mission 1: Adopt innovative teaching methods and advanced infrastructure to foster creativity and innovation. Transform students into skilled professionals and entrepreneurs who drive socio-economic growth.
  • Mission 2: Foster an innovative ecosystem in Electronics and Communication Engineering through collaboration with academia, industry, experts, and government. Promoting research and development among students and faculty.
  • Mission 3: Offer advanced programs that foster research, higher education and ethical values, encouraging students to apply their knowledge and skills for national development and societal benefit.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  • PEO 1 - Core Competency, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship: Graduates will apply fundamental knowledge and technical skills in Electronics and Communication Engineering to solve complex problems, drive innovation, and pursue entrepreneurial ventures that contribute to technological advancement and economic growth.
  • PEO 2 - Industry Readiness and Collaboration: Graduates will demonstrate professional competence by effectively working in multidisciplinary teams, engaging with industry and academia, and contributing to socio-economic development through practical and sustainable engineering solutions.
  • PEO 3 - Ethics, Sustainability, and Societal Impact: Graduates will uphold ethical values and environmental consciousness, applying their expertise responsibly to address societal needs and contribute to national development with a strong commitment to sustainability.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

  • PSO 1: Students will be equipped to apply knowledge of algorithms, modelling, circuit design, and verification to manage electro-mechanical systems essential to the modern socio-economic framework and propose innovative solutions using advanced toolchains in electronic communication systems.
  • PSO 2: Students will learn to understand and adapt to the evolving roles and ethical responsibilities of professionals. Emphasis will be placed on effective collaboration within dynamic and multidisciplinary environments.

The Program Outcomes define the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that engineering graduates should possess by the time of graduation. These outcomes prepare students to effectively contribute to the engineering profession and address complex challenges in a global context.

Apply knowledge of mathematics, natural science, computing, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization as specified in WK1 to WK4 respectively to develop to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Knowledge and Attitude Profile (WK)

It is a framework used in Indian engineering education (NBA accreditation) to detail the specific types of knowledge, skills, and attitudes expected of graduates, supplementing traditional Program Outcomes (POs) with nine detailed profiles (WK1-WK9) covering foundational sciences, math, specialist engineering, design, practice, societal roles, research, and ethics, to ensure comprehensive graduate competency

  • WK1: A systematic, theory-based understanding of the natural sciences applicable to the discipline and awareness of relevant social sciences.
  • WK2: Conceptually-based mathematics, numerical analysis, data analysis, statisticsand formal aspects of computer and information science to support detailed analysis and modelling applicable to the discipline.
  • WK3: A systematic, theory-based formulation of engineering fundamentals required in the engineering discipline.
  • WK4: Engineering specialist knowledge that provides theoretical frameworks and bodies of knowledge for the accepted practice areas in the engineering discipline; much is at the forefront of the discipline.
  • WK5: Knowledge, including efficient resource use, environmental impacts, whole-life cost,re- use of resources, net zero carbon, and similar concepts, that supports engineering design and operations in a practice area.
  • WK6: Knowledge of engineering practice (technology) in the practice areas in theengineering discipline.
  • WK7: Knowledge of the role of engineering insociety and identified issues in engineering practice in the discipline, such as the professional responsibility of an engineer topublic safety and sustainable development.
  • WK8: Engagement with selected knowledge in the current research literature of the discipline, awareness of the power of critical thinking and creative approaches to evaluate emerging issues.
  • WK9: Ethics, inclusive behavior and conduct. Knowledge of professional ethics, responsibilities, and norms of engineering practice. Awareness of the need for diversity by reason of ethnicity, gender, age, physical ability etc. with mutual understanding andrespect, and of inclusive attitudes
