Profile

Dr.D Simhana Devi has 11 years of teaching experience in higher education and has made significant contributions to teaching and research. She has published several research papers in reputed SCI and Scopus-indexed journals, including journals listed in the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), reflecting the quality and impact of her research work. 

She has actively participated in faculty development through online platforms and has successfully completed 11 NPTEL courses, earning Gold, Silver, and Elite certifications. In recognition of her continuous learning and commitment to quality education, she was awarded the NPTEL Believer Award by IIT Madras in June 2025, along with NPTEL Believer, NPTEL Enthusiastic, and NPTEL Discipline Star honors. Additionally, she has completed four Coursera certification courses. 

Dr. Simhana Devi has published two patents, demonstrating her innovative and research-oriented approach. She has also contributed academically by publishing a book chapter titled “Introduction to Research Methodology”. 

She serves as a Reviewer for the International Journal of Mechanical Engineering Research (IJMER), contributing to the peer-review process and maintaining research quality standards. 

She is a Life Member of ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education) and IAENG (International Association of Engineers). She is also a Life Member of the International Institute of Organized Research, actively engaging with professional and research communities.

The ME Department at Narsimha Reddy Engineering College (NRCM) is committed to nurturing young minds into competent professionals and responsible citizens who can contribute to the ever-growing field of technology.

With a blend of experienced faculty, state-of-the-art laboratories, and a focus on research and innovation, we aim to provide our students with strong academic knowledge, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
